Alex house, May 6th through May 11th
We arrived at Alex's house on Thursday the 6th. Karen stopped by in the evening. On Friday everyone was working but Britta. Jennifer & Karen came over for dinner. Friday night Finn had T-Ball practice so I went along. On Saturday morning Finn had a game. Jennifer & Karen took Carol to get a haircut, then lunch, then cloths shopping. We all enjoyed the game and Carol had a wonderful time with Jennifer & Karen.
On Sunday we had a Mothers Day party for Carol & Alex. Jennifer & Karen made a vegetarian lasagna for dinner and chocolate chip cookies.
On Monday I got the camper ready for our continued trip north. Britta & I went to a after-school soccer game at Finns school.

Bull Run Regional Park
This morning we drove to the Bull Run Regional Park near Manassas, VA. Took Hwy 29 instead of the Interstate; a much more enjoyable drive. Stopped at a Panera Bread for one of their great panani sandwiches. They were big enough for lunch and dinner.
The park is very large. Nicely wooded campsites.
We're looking at the different camping options in the area. Last year we stayed at Lake Fairfax near Reston. Of the two, we prefer Lake Fairfax.
Tomorrow we're going to tour the Manassas Battle Field Park then head to Alex's house.

Escapee Rally-Marion,NC
On Thursday, April 29th, we drove to Marion, NC for a big Escapee Rally. There were 82 rigs there. Alex & Brenda Rutchka, Lazy Daze friends, were there as well. The more of these rallies we attend, the more friends we make. Everyone is just so friendly.
Each morning there is coffee & junk food and a social hour at 4. On Friday we enjoyed the Pot Luck Supper. Saturday was a catered chicken bar-b-que and Sunday, pot roast. The food was really good, especially the apple crisp desert with the chicken. On Monday we headed out to continue our trip to Annandale for Mothers Day.
We spent the night at the Claytor Lake State Park near Dublin, VA. $3 admission to the park, $26.25 for camping PLUS $5.25 for Gopher!! (The most expensive night of camping in a very long time. Won't be back to a VA State Park anytime soon.
