Sunday: Left home just before 7am. Stayed the night at the Reed Bingham State Park near Adel, Ga. Got there about 3pm. This is a nice campground. There's a large swimming & boating lake. We have stayed here before when heading north on I-75. It's convenient to I-75. It's a long, but not unreasonable, days drive from Fort Pierce. About 345 miles. Uneventful drive. Mostly sunny with some light rain now & then. It's hot at Reed Bingham. In the 90's. Hopefully the weather will get better when we get into the mountains.
Monday: Drove about three hours to the High Falls State Park campground near Jackson, GA. Just off I-75, Exit 198. A nice campground. Our site is on the river. No view, and a steep bank, but on the river nonetheless. After dinner we walked around and found a place where Gopher & I could go wading. It's still hot. In the lower 90's. Tomorrow we head further north into the Georgia mountains still searching for cooler weather.
