J. Strom Thurmond Lake, South Carolina

This morning we got off the Interstate Highways and drove the back roads to the J. Strom Thurmond Lake Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, project.
It's Spring time. The Azaleas & dog woods & wild flowers are in bloom, the farmers are preparing their fields and the weather is just perfect. Warm & sunny.
The Lake is the border between GA & SC. It's what was the Savannah River before it was dammed.
We're at the Modoc Campground, Site 22, with a great view of the lake. There is a short trail leading to the water, We're the only one in our little area so Gopher has been running free all day. This is her type of place.
We thoroughly enjoyed another perfect day.
We'll be here for the next few days.
